Frequently Asked Questions

What is INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING used for?

INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING is a superficial depigmenting chemical peel indicated for the treatment of:

  • Superficial melasma
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) due to acne or trauma
  • Pigmented acne scars
  • Moderate photoaging (grades I–II)
  • Epidermal dyschromia (color irregularities)
  • Mild inflammatory acne
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Dermo-epidermal restructuring
Can INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING be used all year-around?

Yes, INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING can be used safely throughout the year, as it is a superficial peel that acts on the outermost layers of the skin.

It is especially recommended after summer, when sun exposure often leads to pigmentation, uneven tone, and photoaging signs.

Daily use of broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) and avoiding direct sun exposure are essential to ensure safe and effective results.

Does the treatment hurt?

No, the treatment is not painful. Patients may experience a mild tingling or warming sensation during application, which is temporary and well-tolerated.

A light peeling effect usually occurs within 2–3 days after application. This is a normal and expected sign of skin renewal and does not interfere with daily activities.

What is SMART GPS® technology and how does it work in INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING?

The SMART GPS® (Guidance Performance System) ensures targeted delivery of the active ingredients into the desired skin layers, enhancing efficacy while minimizing side effects. This intelligent release system supports high precision and protects the skin barrier during treatment.

What is the application protocol for INNO-EXFO® LIGHTENING?
  1. Cleanse with INNO-DERMA® Soft Cleanser or INNO-DERMA® Deep Cleanser.
  2. Degrease the skin with INNO-EXFO® Degreasing Solution.
  3. Take 3 grams of INNO-EXFO® Lightening and apply an even layer with a fan brush.
  4. A second layer may be applied to targeted areas if needed.
  5. Let it act for 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on skin phototype.
  6. Rinse with cold water and facial sponges.
  7. Apply INNO-DERMA® Skin Repair.
  8. Finish with INNO-DERMA® Sun Defense SPF 50+ (Oily or Coverage version).
How should I prepare the skin before the peel and maintain results afterwards?

Preparation:

Maintenance:

To maintain and boost results, resume application 5 days after the peel and continue using it between sessions.
